Don't Board this Elevator if You're Afraid of Heights!

I'm not even that afraid of heights, but if I saw this in person I'd be pretty freaked out.  What appears to be a bottomless elevator is actually a startling ambient ad for a new attraction at Alton Towers amusement park in the United Kingdom.  The advertisement features an alarming optical illusion created by artist Andrew Walker:

The ambient piece was put together in Southside Shopping Center and gave consumers a real shock.  Check out the video below to see their horrified (and somewhat amusing) reactions!
