More People Equals More Love in NYC

The people of New York City get a bad rap.  They're often depicted in movies and TV shows as loud, rude, and cold.  But the Big Apple's actually full of a lot of love!

To celebrate Valentine's Day, the Times Square Alliance teamed up with design agency BIG to create a BIG red heart.  The interactive piece glows when an individual presses its "Touch Me" button.  And the more people who join in, the faster the heart will beat and the brighter the heart will burn.

According to the Times Square Alliance, the project communicates that more people equals more love:  the sculpture "conducts the flow of people, air and touch to bring its heart to life."

This is a fantastic idea -- it sends a special Valentine's Day message to New Yorkers and people worldwide!
